Preposition list

Here is a list of all the prepositions you are likely to encounter. I am leaving out a few archaic and rare forms. Some of them have functions that are other  than prepositional. Each links to a Wikipedia entry. Some of them are a little controversial, especially those ending in -ing, concerning* which  some very tedious people like to argue over their prepositional versus their adjectival function.
